Description:

Organic Chinese White Tea Pai Mu Tan, known as "White Peony" is a superior white tea that undergoes manual selection in the Spring season.

The tea is grown at a dizzying altitude of five-thousand feet (1,500metres) in the mountainous province of Fujian, China. This luxurious Chinese tea has been only slightly fermented before drying.

The tea leaves possess green-brown hues with a multitude of white tips. Upon brewing, they result in a mildly tangy and sweet light-coloured infusion, similar to an apricot. The tea also emits fragrances reminiscent of blossoms and ripe fruits. The name "White Peony" represents the fragility of this tea, given that the White Peony is a symbol of beauty and femininity within Chinese culture.

White tea, akin to green and black teas, is rich in polyphenols, catechins, antioxidants, tannins, fluoride, and flavonoids. White tea contains compounds that reduce inflammation, slow down aging, and prevent liver and heart diseases.

White tea similarly contains caffeine, which is known for its advantageous influence on the nervous system and brain.
