Description:
Organic China Long Jing tea or as it is also known as Dragon Well tea, is a visually and taste-wise appealing tea with fruity and sweet notes, followed by a slightly harsh flavour.
The tea is made only from hand-rolled and pressed young tender buds, making it one of our rare teas in the collection. To ensure the best quality, the tea leaves are then dried in large woks to stop the oxidation process.
Due to its high antioxidant content, Long Jing tea has numerous health benefits. It's believed to help fight against ageing and may help to prevent cancer and certain diseases. Additionally, it promotes cardiovascular health and can aid in detoxifying the body, similar to Matcha and Sencha teas.
Unlike Rooibos tea, Long Jing tea comes from the Camelia Sinensis which is the same plant that white and black teas originate. Only the young tender buds of the Camellia Sinensis plant are used for this tea.
