What sets the Yellow Dragon apart is its unique and meticulous production method. The process begins similarly to that of a classic Chinese green tea, with the freshly harvested leaves being carefully processed to halt oxidation. 

However, a crucial final step transforms this tea into something truly special. The leaves are placed into closed bamboo baskets, where they are allowed to gently mature for seven days. This controlled "smothering" process encourages a subtle, post-fermentation process that gives the leaves their characteristic darker hue and enriches their flavour. 

This rare technique is a testament to the artistry and tradition of Chinese tea masters, who have perfected this craft over generations.
